Liverpool 2

A beautiful day in Liverpool sees the tour take in two shows - first up at midday we have The Hope Street Feast, a free street party which sees the Liverpool Philarmonic Hall open up to the public for free. A great event which gets gradually busier through the day. The food stalls and activities on the street are excellent, and the sun has clearly helped. The Paella was nice.

In the sumputous surrounds of the Rodewald Suite we get and afternoon which included the John Thorne Trio and Lizzie Nunnery. All free to get in, and all excellent. I love this kind of event.

We used the two hours between this show and the next by zipping over to Sefton Sands to have a look at the Gormley statues there. I'd never seen them before and was very happy to have good weather to see them in. It's a good thing they are there... loads of people were out enjoying them...

Next up we've got to set up for the View Two show. The View Two Gallery is a lovely lovely space on the most horrible of streets. Mathew Street is like Temple Bar in Dublin. Loads of drunks and karaoke bars and short skirts on chunky corned beef legs. Dead Loud.

Very worried that having played during the day we'd do e ourselves a disservice, but a respectable handful of folks came out to watch a great trio of sets. Esiie tried to sell her merch too cheaply. Liz had the band of John, Gus, and Dan. Some photos are coming later.
