One of our favourite Canadians Dan Mangan has been nominated for Canada's prestigious Polaris Prize. This is great news indeed and he sits in good company, with Caribou, Broken Social Scene, Owen Pallet and The Besnard Lakes all sitting pretty, among others.
Dan's played a number of shows for The local most recently as part of our HUGE 4 venue affair last wednesday to celebrate Canada Day (which we promoted with our friends at CIMA).

We'll be announcing a new Dan Mangan show for October very soon. Watch this space!
