In an age of ubiquitous, de facto ?free?, music, Second Language releases are designed to restore the primacy of the record as precious, audio-visual object and are set to be enjoyed by those who prize singular musical packages which are aesthetically devastating and uncommonly collectable. Once one of their album?s tiny initial editions is gone, it?s really gone, never to be repeated. This may not be the tune which the world of ?universal access? which music is singing elsewhere today, but they know they are not alone in wanting to communicate the value of music, and albums as aesthetically devastating multiples, in a more refined Second Language.

"Michael Tanner is a composer, writer and musician from the south of England occasionally recording under the pseudonym Plinth. He's a member of the bands Directorsound, Tyneham House, United Bible Studies, The Rural Tradition and plays live with English folk-musician Sharron Kraus. Engineering and recording credits include Sharron Kraus' acclaimed The Foxes Wedding, forthcoming albums by Agitated Radio Pilot and United Bible Studies, along with songs and remixes for Andria Degen's Pantaleimon. Other outlets include acoustic duo The A.Lords, and Vangelis-styled synth project Cat Lady. He is completing a new full length LP as one half of the A.Lords with legendary '70s musician Mark Fry."

Klima's first album was released in April 2007 on the Peacefrog label, home of Jose Gonzales, Nouvelle Vague, The Innocence Mission, Marissa Nadler, Ellis Island Sound, Finlay Brown and so many more. Jerome Tcherneyan of Piano Magic recorded and produced the songs. Everything was done in the lovely city of London where she is now based.
?A debut all fans of Cocteau Twins, early Bj?rk, Nina Persson or the Knife should buy, if they haven't already. Her introspective, confessional songs have a magical, haunting quality."

Dollboy has been a going concern since 2004 and the release of the first album, Plans For A Modern City (Different Drummer) which recieved a certain amount of critical aclaim, worldwide airplay and got them a show at the Big Chill and an XFM session (Flo-Motion with Nick Luscombe). It was largely electronic and somewhat ambient or dare we say, chilled. This was followed by some now legendary shows including the one on a Pentonville rooftop complete with city lights, bean bags and a police helicopter.
2010 brought Ghost Stations, (Second Language) an instrumental project exploring London and Berlin?s abandoned metro stations. This was a limited, handmade release which, again, brough high praise from highly respected sources.
