Recently refurbished with excellent sound system and reduced capacity for extra comfort.
We've always fantasised at The Local that it would be amazing to put on shows in a cinema and to blend film and music in a live event. We're delighted to be able to work with the excellent Everyman Screen on the Green for this series of events which is special beyond all belief! How about some fantastic live music, a classic film, in comfy seats with a fancy schmancy bar at the back. Got it.

Sound engineer Natty only picked up his guitar as he turned 18, beginning to write his own songs as a hobby. Craig Dodds, a producer Natty worked with heard his early demos and encouraged him to take things further. The two ended up working together and co-producing Natty's debut album with Jonny Dollar (Massive Attack).

The film follows three young men and their time spent in the French suburban "ghetto," over a span of twenty-four hours. Vinz, a Jew, Sa?d, an Arab, and Hubert, a black boxer, have grown up in these French suburbs where high levels of diversity coupled with the racist and oppressive police force have raised tensions to a critical breaking point. During the riots that took place a night before, a police officer lost his handgun in the ensuing madness, only to leave it for Vinz to find. Now, with a newfound means to gain the respect he deserves, Vinz vows to kill a cop if his friend Abdel dies in the hospital, due the beating he received while in police custody.
